Who Are We?
Voxly Digital builds full stack enterprise AI software for large multi-national clients. We have annual retainers for bespoke AI and LLM-based projects with large players like Diageo, the UK Royal Navy, and Bristol Airport. We are based in Paddington, London, UK.
We mainly work in three product areas:
Conversational AI for Conversational Marketing.
AI for Customer Self-Service and Call Centers.
AI for Intelligent Content & Marketing Compliance.
We are 100% bootstrapped, profitable, and have been in business for 6+ years. We're getting new customers all the time and our current roadmap is extensive.
Our mission is to drive enterprise transformation through AI and we are hiring because we need more core developers to support our expanding customer base.
What You’ll Do
As a Junior/Mid Full Stack AI Engineer, you will:
Spend 50%-60% of your time on full-stack web development.
Build responsive web apps with Next.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
Develop RESTful APIs and server-side logic with Node.js.
Integrate LLM APIs and manage databases, including vector databases.
Master building intelligent Dialog Management for our services.
Spend 10% - 20% on DevOps, deploying and managing applications on AWS.
Spend 10% - 20% talking to customers to understand their challenges, present solutions, and gather feedback.
Our Stack
We make our apps with Next.js 14 App Router, deployed on AWS via SST. For LLM solutions, we use the suite of products offered by Langchain.
Frontend: TypeScript, Next.js, React, HTML, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui
Backend: TypeScript, Node.js, Langchain, Langgraph, Langsmith, OpenAI
Authentication: Next Auth, Clerk, or we roll our own.
Databases: DynamoDB, Chroma (Vector Database), Redis.
Cloud: AWS + Azure. CloudFront, Lambda, S3, Eventbridge, Cloudwatch, SES and many more services which are mostly provisioned via SST.
Analytics: Google Analytics 4.
Version Control: Git, Bitbucket.

You enjoy using AI tools like ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude.
You're willing to dive into the new world prompting - meaning you're ok for alot of trial and error before mastering this area.
You enjoy talking to customers. You are patient and non-condescending – a clear and simple communicator.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role you must have:
2+ years of related professional software engineering work experience.
Understanding of client-server interactions and REST API development and deployment.
Proficiency in React/Next.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
Strong knowledge of backend technologies, including Node.js, NoSQL/SQL databases, or BaaS.
Some experience of hosting applications with AWS or similar Cloud provider/s.
Fluency in English including very strong writing skills (come on ... prompting is super important right?).
Preferences
You'll have an edge over other applicants if you:
Understand high-level AI concepts like vector databases, embeddings, RAG, etc. (Note: you do not need to be an ML expert).
Have used new LLM frameworks like Langchain, Llama Index, Vercel AI SDK etc.
Have a live side-project / personal site or other evidence demonstrating your ability to write code independently.
Have been using Next.js/React in production for over 1 year.
Have experience with analytics tools such as Posthog, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or Google Analytics.
Have worked on enterprise software in production for over 1 year.
Have experience of hosting and supporting production applications on AWS.
Have AWS Cloud Certifications or experience deploying a Next.js site to AWS via SST.
Work Location & Hours:
Our team is office-based in Paddington from 9:30 - 6 PM, 5 days a week. We allow the occasional work-from-home day once you’ve established yourself – but the job is office based.

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: £40,000 - £48,000 annually.
Performance Reviews: Every 6 months for your first year, annually thereafter.
Performance Bonuses: 10% of base salary annually (depending on personal and performance of course).
